The module aims to provide an understanding of the structural organization and physiology of plants in relation to their environment. It includes plant morphology, anatomy, main plant metabolic phenomena such as respiration and gas exchange, photosynthesis, energy metabolism, nutrition and seed germination, transpiration, and translocation, ion and water relations. It also deals with plant morphological and physiological responses to environmental stimuli.
The module aims to provide an understanding of the physiology and behaviour of animals. It includes the main animal and metabolic phenomena such as locomotion, respiration and gas exchange, circulation, digestion and energy metabolism, osmoregulation and excretion, control and integration and animal behaviour.
