This module aims to provide students with advanced knowledge of plant systematics, taxonomy, and economic botany, integrating traditional and modern classification approaches. It covers the diversity and classification of major plant groups, the economic and societal uses of plants, and the ethical and conservation issues related to plant resources.
This module aims to introduce students to quantitative methods applied to biology. The content mainly includes data analysis and presentation, uni- and multivariate statistical analysis, hypothesis formulation, testing and validation. In addition, students will be exposed to interpretation of statistical results from biology case studies and strategies of biostatistics teaching and learning.
