The module introduces the students to the concepts, principles, theories and practices impacting Play, First Aid and Safety dealing with Issues in Early Childhood Development. It elaborates on the types of play, its importance in the child development. The module describes various children’s play and games in Rwandan contexts. Students are introduced to common children’s accidents, first aids for emergency cases and prevention means. Lastly, the module describes different materials found in a first aid box and their use.
