This course aims to empower University of Rwanda faculty with competencies in modern, technology-enabled teaching through a self-paced, accessible online learning experience. This course will:
- Strengthen instructional design capacity
- Enhance pedagogical use of Moodle
- Integrate synchronous & asynchronous modalities
- Ensure academic integrity with Turnitin
This module aims to equip trainees with advanced theoretical and practical competencies in multimedia instructional design. Trainees will explore foundational multimedia theories, design principles, and project planning processes, and will apply these to develop high-quality instructional videos, audio recordings, animations, and interactive multimedia materials. Emphasis is placed on accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), ethical use of media, and practical implementation in blended and digital learning contexts. By the end of the module, trainees will be able to design, produce, evaluate, and disseminate professional-level multimedia content for diverse learning environments
