Module Aim
This module aims at equipping students with knowledge, skills and attitudes about concepts, contexts, and categories of special learning needs. The module will empower students with alternative learning and teaching strategies to face challenges caused by learners with disabilities and special learning needs.

The aim of this module is to provide students with the necessary background knowledge about the nature and development of communication difficulties. It also provides basic skills that can be used to identify and assess communication difficulties with children and strategies to support children with communication difficulties.

Upon the completion of the module, students should understand disability and differences as part of social diversity, special needs / inclusive education development in Rwanda and other social context, as growing opportunities for people with disabilities and other SEN and the improving opportunities through enabling accessibility standards.
