This module equips student teachers with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies needed to teach economics effectively at the secondary school level. It explores the nature and aims of economics education, curriculum development, lesson planning, teaching methods, instructional materials, classroom management, and assessment, all aligned with the Rwanda Education Board’s Competency-Based Curriculum. Delivered through a blended approach, it combines online learning with practical activities such as workshops, micro-teaching, and collaborative projects. Through assignments, reflective practice, and a supervised practicum, students develop the ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate learner-centred economics lessons while strengthening their professional growth as educators
