This module intends to equip students with critical thinking and problem solving skills. It introduces to students on concepts of first and second order both Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations (ODEs & PDEs). In addition it discusses systems of ODEs and Applications of PDEs in other science subjects particular in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
This module will introduce to you to functions whose variables are complex variables. Similarly to to the real functions, the module will start by looking at elementary functions of complex variables. We will also study the limits, continuity differentiation and integration of functions of complex variables. The infinity series such Laurent's series will be discussed in complex space. We will introduce the residue theory and we will apply it to calculate some integrals.

It contains the following topics: definition, limits, continuity, differentiation and integration of elementary complex function, Taylor’s and Laurent’s series, Cauchy integral formula, singular points and residue theory, evaluation of definite integrals. It further explores the argument principle and Rouche’s theorem.
