This module is designed to provide the student with competencies of carrying out intraoral examination including periodontal charting, dental scaling, root planning, making good cavity preparations and restorations, administering local and regional anaesthesia, performing simple extractions, suturing, incision and drainage, carrying out fissure sealants, topical fluoride and varnish application, brushing and flossing teeth on models and phantom heads, as well as on simulated patients before they start clinical work on real patients. Students will also get acquainted with common clinical preventive dentistry instruments and equipment, periodontal instruments and equipment, common clinical restorative instruments and equipment as well as common surgical instruments and equipment.
This module is designed to equip students with competences on use of removable partial denture to rehabilitating edentulous patients with not more than 4 missing teeth, it will equip students with competences and skills of diagnosing prosthetic problem in a patient and to be able to prepare patient for rehabilitation with RPD not exceeding replacement of 4 teeth.
This module contains two unity: Eye,Nose,Throat (ENT) and Comprehensive Oral Care. It is designed to help the students comprehensively manage and understand the conditions that may affect Eye,Nose and Throat regions which may be closely associated with oral health.It is composed of theoretical teaching,observations and practical procedures exposing the students to surgical procedures and comprehensive management of patients during the clinical rotations in disciplines that constitute comprehensive care.
It is offered side by side with the clinical placement. the module is intended to enhance the student's ability to correlate and synthesize clinical information and knowledge into logical systematic diagnosis,treatment plan,and evaluations of health care outcomes within health care system. finally the module focuses on professionalism, ethics and legal obligations in preparations for employment at workplace.

Oral Microbiology is a foundational module designed to introduce dental students to the microorganisms that inhabit the oral cavity. It covers the role of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microbes in maintaining oral health and contributing to diseases such as dental caries, periodontal disease, and oral infections. Understanding oral microbiology is essential for effective diagnosis, prevention, and management of oral diseases in clinical practice.
- This module covers the pathologic basis of oral disease, especially the structural and functional manifestations of diseases of the oral and para-oral structures. It equips the student with knowledge and skills to identify and diagnose primary oral diseases. This module also describes oral medicine, principles of diagnosing oral manifestations of systemic disease, and managing diseases of the oral mucosa and salivary gland.

This module, as it is intended to develop competent teachers, presents the main theoretical information pertained to Biology and Chemistry teaching and learning. Among them, there are those related to history and nature of science. Also, why it is important to teach and learn science including Biology and Chemistry as ones of science subjects is discussed. Additionally, what and how to implement those subjects, resources to be used in the implementation, planning for teaching and learning, assessing for and of learning. Moreover, by this module, participants will enhance their teaching experience by putting into actions their lesson materials and then get constructive feedback from their colleagues and other observers through micro-teaching activities.
The purpose of this module is to equip diploma student-teachers from mathematics and Computer science combination (MCsE) with the competence and confidence to help them to develop skills, attitudes and values to successfully implement the mathematics and Computer science competence-based curriculum (CBC) at O’ level of secondary schools.
It contains various themes including history and philosophy of mathematics and computer science learning and teaching; understanding of mathematics and computer science CBC in Rwanda and their implementations; contemporary issues in mathematics and computer science learning and teaching; key aspects of Mathematics and Computer science instruction; resources, planning and assessment in mathematics and computer science lessons; micro-teaching and practicum.

It analyses the different techniques and methods of teaching Economics, the teaching aids in Economics, the teacher of Economics and Micro-teaching.
L’objectif général de ce Module est la pratique de la classe de français et anglais fondée sur les nouvelles méthodes d’enseignement, principalement l’approche communicative et l’approche actionnelle. Il s’inscrit donc dans la perspective de l’enseignement du français langue étrangère, qui est la nouvelle option adoptée par le Ministère de l’Education après la réforme de l’enseignement au Rwanda de 2012 faisant du français une langue enseignée et non plus une langue d’enseignement.

This module is entitled DTMHG13: History_Geography Teaching Methods (DTP). It aims to equip you as a future teacher the skills of ensuring history and geography teaching and learning process in your class. At the end of the module, you should be capable to teach history and geography in secondary schools after learning how to prepare history and geography lessons according to learners, choose appropriate methods to teach geography, manage classes, select appropriate teaching aids and prepare schemes of work and lesson plans in history and geography.
