If necessary, new mathematical concepts and methods will be introduced in order to solve challenging and inspiring problems from practice. These selected topics will include Differential equations (both ordinary and partial and their numerical solutions), numerical linear algebra and Statistics. This is an introductory module in the first year of MBA. This module provides an overview of management process and its functions. It also introduces the leadership patterns, styles and approaches. With this module students shall be able to understand the meaning and concept of management in the contemporary business world, management process that encompassing planning, organising, staffing , leading and controlling. it attempts to make students learn the functions of management as related to human resource management, marketing management, operations management, financial management and information management. In the second part of the module delivery students are exposed to leadership and management contrast, traits of an effective leader, leadership styles besides exploring the management context and relevance in Rwanda and how the leadership profiles can be traced and pruned for the effective functioning of organisations in Rwanda.

In depth analysis of how organizational resources are used will be carried out and various performance measurements to motivate managers to implement strategies will be analyzed.

The important existence and uniqueness theorems are proved. The properties of solutions (e.g., regularity, dependence on data, etc ) are analysed.The module also describes the theory for Linear LPartial Differential Equations (LPDEs) and the theory for Nonlinear partial Differential Equations (NLPDEs)
