CULTURAL, NATURAL AND BUILT HERITAGE CONSERVATION
Semester I

Welcome to the course on Cultural, Natural and Built Heritage Conservation.

The aim of the course is to expose architecture students to the foundational ideas and basic skills of Cultural, Natural and Built Heritage Conservation. Specifically this course will overview some of the most dominant theories of indigenous cultural landscapes, landscape design principals and their respective interface with various graphic means of representing them in the built environment. We will learn how urban environments such as; landform, nature, ecology, and green space can be better connected to the built environment to inspire better human connections to place, using successful examples of place making.
