This module is about specific teaching methods for Mathematics and Biology.  It will expose you to the history and nature of Mathematics and Science (Biology), philosophical foundations of Mathematics and Science education, Methods used to teach and learn those subjects, resources used to teach and learn Mathematics and Biology. Further, the curriculum to be implemented in schools will be explored and be implemented in micro-teaching or by analysing the video-recorded lessons.

Moduli hii inakusudia kuwawezesha wanafunzi kuwa na maarifa na ujuzi wa kufundisha somo la Kiswahili kama lugha ya pili kwa wanafunzi wa shule za sekondari nchini Rwanda.

Hivyo basi, historiografia ya ufundishaji wa lugha ya pili kuanzia karne ya 19 inapitiwa. Hii inafanyika ili kuwawezesha wanafunzi kuzifahamu vema mbinu mbalimbali za ufundishaji wa lugha ya pili. Kwa kufanya hivyo, wanafunzi kama walimu tarajali watakuwa katika nafasi ya kuweza kuzifahamu kwa ukamilifu mbinu zote za ufundishaji wa lugha ya pili na hivyo kufanya uamuzi sahihi wa mbinu ipi inayofaa kutumiwa kutokana na mazingira wanayokutana nayo.

Aidha, uhusiano baina ya mbinu, mkabala na ufundi  au uhusiano baina ya mbinu, mkabala usanifu au uundaji na utaratibu pia umepitiwa. Mambo mbalimbali ya msingi katika ufundishaji wa lugha ya mazingatiwa. Mambo haya ni kama vile aina mbalimbali za mtaala, zana na nyenzo za ufundishaji, maandalio ya somo, malengo ya elimu nchini Rwanda na Malengo ya ufundishaji na ujifunzaji wa Kiswahili nchini Rwanda.

Welcome to the Module of "Indigenous Knowledge and Development".

The module will guide you to reflecting on the meaning, types and the contribution of indigenous knowledge in the development process, more particular on the building of inclusive and sustainable development.

This module will enable you to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Regional integration policy; International organizations: UN, Breton Woods Institutions; International law and institutions; Theories and approaches on regional integration: realism, idealism, etc; Opportunities and challenges with regional integration to member state; The current trends in regional blocs; The link between the regional integration and development.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF AIMS AND CONTENT
• To enable the student to apply methods, tools and techniques studies in research methodology in year 3 to the design of a real research;;
• To develop the ability to understand and overcome difficulties accoutered by students conducting their first research
• To familiarize students with real research on the field; • To familiarize students with research report writing.

The module covers two main aspects in its field: firstly, it deals with concepts of entrepreneurship, project and project planning and M&E. Secondly, it covers practical skills needed to conceptualize an entrepreneurial idea, develop a sustainable project, implement it and conduct its monitoring and evaluation.

This course provides an introduction to a broad range of economic concepts, theories, and analytical techniques. It considers both microeconomics - the analysis of choices made by individual decision-making units (households and firms) - and macroeconomics - the analysis of the economy as a whole.
