Professional Ethics and Jurisprudence

This module acquaints the student with the professionalism, legal and ethical obligations
expected of the dental team as well as the management, leadership and entrepreneurial skills
required for delivery of oral health care services.

At the end of the module, students will be able to:
1. Explain the importance of ethical professional conduct
2. Recognize ethical and professional breaches
3. Describe ethical dilemmas
4. Describe the medico-legal framework of the Rwandan medical system
5. Differentiate leadership and management styles
6. Discuss the principles of health systems management with respect to the Rwandan . Health System.
7. Discuss the role of entrepreneurship in national and socio-economic development.
8. Describe the budgeting and procurement process and requirements.
9. Apply ethical and professional leadership in oral health care delivery team
