LAW3114: Labor Law and Social Security

This course introduces the student to Principles, rights and obligations of different actors in the labor market and procedures governing their actions. The course is divided into two major parts; Individual Labor relating, and, Collective Labor Relations. With the use of the current Law governing Labor in Rwanda, various implementing Orders, Case law both domestic and International, and articles, the course takes the student into all issues surrounding Rwandan Labor Law to equip him/her with necessary practical understanding of the field. The Course is assessed through group assignments and a written examination.
