Introduction to sociology

SocSociology is a study of human interaction in society. it is also a systematic study of social organization. This course will give students an understanding of basic ideas and main methods of sociology. —The present unit offers an introduction to the keys concepts, the historical debates and basic approaches to the discipline of Sociology. —Thus, the course will look at the origins and historical development of the discipline and serves as an introduction to the key classical and contemporary social theories. In that context, it explores the basic perspectives and methods of sociological inquiry. —Finally, throughout this course, students will engage with how social groups interact with each other and negotiate change for social and economic development.
