The course covers water supply systems, plumbing networks, drainage and wastewater systems, pumping installations, heating systems, ventilation, and basic air conditioning principles. It also addresses pipe sizing, fluid flow in building networks, system components (valves, fittings, storage tanks), and relevant standards for safety, hygiene, and efficiency. The course equips Mechanical Engineering students with practical knowledge required for the design and analysis of building utility systems to ensure reliable water distribution, effective sanitation, thermal comfort, and energy-efficient operation in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
