Welcome to the online module GE80242: Human Geography II, which explores the relationships between human societies, economic systems, and spatial development processes globally.
This module examines how countries are classified based on historical, political, economic, and ideological factors, and how these classifications relate to global development and inequality. It also analyzes the origins and implications of global divisions.
Key attention is given to globalization and its impacts on different regions, alongside core concepts in economic geography, including the spatial organization of economic activities influenced by various factors.
The course further covers the distribution of major economic activities such as agriculture, mining, and industry, as well as the influence of economic systems on development. It also highlights the role of international trade, transport, and tourism in shaping global economic interactions
