    Dear Participants, welcome to this course- unit of Module VIII of your MPH Programme.

    Aim of the module

    This is module aims at  providing you  with a deep understanding of the determinants of human behavior, and methods and tools to develop behavior change program, effectively communicate with co-workers and the community, and develop and implement training program as well as community based health interventions.

  • Aim of the unit

    The purpose of this course unit is to provide you tools that will enable you to strengthen the capacity of health care providers  under your responsibility in order to improve the "Quality Health services  delivery".


    Topics to cover

    This unit comprises the following components :

    • Team Building (How to build a work team)
    • Training (Why the training programme)
    • Training programme development
    • Course description  of the training programme
    • Training programme management (M/E of the training programme).



    Intended learning outcomes

    Upon completion of this course unit, you should be able to : 

    1. Explain how to build a work team.
    2. Develop the training programme.
    3. Develop the key components of M/E of the training programme.

      Based on your working Institution (MOH + Hospitals – RBC + Pharmacy – Health Programmes (CRS - UNFPA …)) or other Health Units (CMHS …),  develop a training programme for health care providers under your responsibility in order to improve the “Quality Health services delivery”.


      Locations:
      Group I: MOH + Hospitals: A – B - C -D.  
      Group II: RBC + Pharmacy: A. 
      Group III: Health Programmes (CRS – UNFPA….): A -B -C. 
      Group IV: Other Health Units (CMHS ………): A. 
      Date of report submission: 15th December 2020 at 5:00 PM.

  • Aim of the unit:

    The purpose of this course unit is to provide you tools that will enable you to support individuals and communities in the decision - making process for behavior change for a better Health status.

    Topics to cover:

     .  Concepts of Health Education  and Health Communication.

     .  Communication process.

     .  Behavior Change.

    Intended learning outcomes:

    Upon completion of this course unit, you will be able to :

    Explain the role of Health Communication / Health Education in the process of addressing the main Health issues in Rwanda.

    -  Explain the communication process.

    -  Assess a Health Communication session done by a Health care provider in the Health Facilities aiming at triggering behavior change.
