COD1: CAREER ORIENTATION AND DEVELOPMENT

 

About this module

 

This module is a reference material for the Career Orientation and development . It Comprises practical exercises that will be used by students to bridge any Knowledge, Attitude of Experience Gaps that students may exhibit when they attend career orientation guidance sessions.

The module  has three   each with a number of Sessions.

The first   is finding your unique strengths that are composed of three sessions, which are Orientation to career guidance and Counseling, Personal Unique Selling Proposition and Goal Setting.

The second   is Exploring Career in Employment. It is designed for students who plan  to seek for employment at the end of their University studies. It has five sessions: Networking for your Career, Determining What Employers Want, Preparing for Interviews, Interviews Dress Rehearsal and Planning for Your Work Experience.

The third  is the last one and is Exploring Career in Entrepreneurship. It is designed for students who identified that they want to step into entrepreneurship as their career. The Module has five sessions: Entrepreneurship Skills, Mapping Your Asset, Business Ideation, Solving Your Customers Problem and Developing Your Business Model
